Sou’wester was a wonderful way to rest and develop inspiration. The anticipation of a long journey ahead made it even more significant. It is hard to take the time whether just a few hours or a couple days to create, this accidental residency set the mood.
Not only was there a time to nap and drool on the vintage leather, there was plenty of time to type for the first time on the newly purchased FACIT typewriter. It feels like years since words were able to lay so easily to paper, in this case, tracing paper. Supposedly the machine loves two things, to be used regularly and to be used with delicate paper.
Thanks to inspiring and supportive company and the endearing hosts at Sou’wester… It was the best few days of a ten day trip.
